This is a three-part seminar, meeting on February 5, 12 & 19 | Register to Attend
Explore the science and real world aspects of how we perceive sound. Music holds a profound and even sacred space for individuals in every culture but our understanding of how we experience sound, and how to listen with self-awareness is highly under-defined. From our language to the nature of music as a means of storytelling, for evoking memory and feelings, sound and music have become more passive parts of modern life.
Using high-end music reproduction gear designed for critical listening, we'll explore the science and real world aspects of how we perceive sound, and how to more meaningfully connect with music through the art of listening with intention.
Listening Profoundly will be led by Chris Livengood, co-owner of EMBER Audio+Design in Winston-Salem.
