Using contemporary art as a lens\, participants will investigate the relationship between words and images\, and experience how the language we use to describe something can shape the understanding of others. \nThis workshop is organized around four verbs: describe\, contrast\, transform\, and complicate. Through four connected sessions\, educators will examine how creators build meaning through observation and description\, the use of contrasting elements\, the transformation of ideas across media\, and moments of ambiguity or contradiction.
