Her work is deeply influenced by her daily experiences with young children\, reflecting on her daily interactions with their curiosity\, uninhibited imaginations\, and\, especially\, their wonderfully expressive “big emotions”. She creates predominately with mixed media and acrylic paint\, often incorporating collage\, handmade papers\, children’s literature\, glitter\, and other materials to explore new techniques\, build depth\, and create unexpected layers of joy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHANNAH GASKINS\n\n\n\nHannah Gaskins is a visual artist and kindergarten teacher based in Winston-Salem. Field Trippers will enjoy free admission to the Fair\, an introduction to the event and the guild from Piedmont Craftsmen staff\, and a tour highlighting artists’ booths and live demonstrations. Meet makers\, learn about their creative processes\, and experience the artistry of one of Winston-Salem’s legacy organizations up close.\n \n\nPIEDMONT CRAFTSMEN\nPiedmont Craftsmen is a non-profit that works to promote the value of fine craft by championing the work of exhibiting members\, providing education\, and creating connections among artists\, collectors\, and the community. Since 1963\, Piedmont Craftsmen’s Annual Fair has celebrated outstanding craftsmanship\, showcasing more than 100 artisans from across the country.
