CHARLES is an old soul with a fresh perspective. The Durham-based musical artist invites listeners into his world with an expressive blend of warm and soulful undertones\, powerful lyrics\, and emotive crooning. He has cultivated soundscapes and wave therapy on some of the musical worlds biggest stages including Newport Jazz Festival\, TEDx\, and NPR\, as well as Hopscotch\, SleepyFest\, and Phuzz Phest in North Carolina. \nPARK HANGS is a new concert series presented by NCMA Winston-Salem and Innovation Quarter\, with additional support from Atwell Ford Real Estate. Join us to unwind and socialize with music by NC-based musicians\, food and drinks by local vendors\, and easygoing vibes in Bailey Park. \nPark Hangs are held on the Upper Lawn of Bailey Park (445 Patterson Ave. in Winston-Salem). Food and drink will be available for purchase from vendors in the park\, or you can bring your own snacks or purchase food from your favorite iQ restaurants. Drinks from Incendiary Brewing will be available for purchase; outside alcohol is prohibited. Limited street parking is available for this event\, with additional paid parking in the Link Parking Deck (530 North Patterson Ave.). \nTo keep the concert visible for everyone\, please bring a blanket or a low-backed chair to enjoy the music. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to hang out\, too\, but they must remain leashed throughout the event.
