Participants will learn about the history of poster-making and will be guided step-by-step through creating their own poster or slam-book inspired wall art\, learning key fundamentals of graphic design and new ways to bring ideas to life along the way. Please note: Space is limited and registration is required. \nKat Lamp\nKat Lamp is an illustrator\, graphic artist\, and musician based in Winston-Salem. Her playful style is characterized by plants\, animals\, and bold visual storytelling. She designs commemorative posters and merchandise for touring musicians\, including The Avett Brothers\, Wilco\, Lake Street Drive\, and Andrew Bird. Kat also creates as a painter and she has a line of fun gifts and accessories born from her drawings. \nART/LIT\nStudents ages 12-17 are invited to explore the intersection of visual arts and literature at ART/LIT\, an art club for teens that meets monthly for hands-on workshops led by working artists at local library branches. Workshops are open to all skill levels and encourage curiosity\, creativity\, and connection through art. ART/LIT is presented in partnership with Forsyth County Public Library.
