Overview
An evening of fun inspired by the cult classic film Dazed and Confused
We’re heading over to Greensboro for a semiquincentennial brouhaha featuring music, movies, a car show, vintage goods, and hands-on creative activities. Join us at Back Table (816 S Elm St. #1A, Greensboro, NC 27406) for an evening inspired by Dazed and Confused, a cult classic film set in 1976.
VINTAGE MARKET
With a focus on 60’s and 70’s eras, Vintage Eve will be on site with curated goods from former eras. Vintage Eve is a pop-up secondhand shop based in Winston-Salem.
CAR SHOW
The car show will feature such iconic rides as the “Silver Bullet” 1969 Pontiac GTO and Chevrolet’s El Camino.
ARTS ACTIVITIES
Enjoy hands-on activities inspired by legendary scenes in Dazed and Confused. Make your own “paddle” charcuterie board, or screen print a “SENIORS” tee with our friends from Twofold Press, a mobile screen print service based in Winston-Salem.
LIVE MUSIC
NC-based musicians Brad Morton, Matt Wentz, Mark Connor, and Thomas Swinn-McNeely will take on the moniker Melba Toast to cover the Dazed and Confused soundtrack and similar tunes. Inspired by the moment in the film that Wooderson describes his car, Melba Toast, “Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin‘ right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We’re talkin‘ some […] muscle.”
FILM SCREENING
A screening of Dazed and Confused (1993) will commence after dark.
